The Engineering Department is responsible for providing innovative and cost effective Engineering services and solutions in all areas of Bluewater’s business. It ensures a responsible approach to client requirements, international rules and regulations and HSEQ obligations to contribute to the realization of the company’s goals and strategy.
As part of the Structural team, you have the opportunity to play an important role in engineering the impressive structures of the Bluewater products.

As Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting various structural analyses that are essential for creating and validating our designs. Additionally you will contribute to the ongoing development of our tools and methodologies, ensuring they align with the demanding market requirements of the offshore energy industry.
In this role, you will report directly to the Lead (Project) Engineer, providing regular updates on progress, setbacks and concerns related to the project. You will implement the HSEQ&RC requirements and assist the Lead (Project) Engineer in related meetings. Timely responses to Inter Discipline Checks, site queries, client communications, certifying authority requests, and vendor interactions will be crucial to ensuring smooth project execution. As you gain experience and demonstrate good performance, there is potential for growth into a.o. specialist or lead engineer role.
RequirementsWe are looking for a structural engineer with good communication skills and with ambition to grow.
Furthermore:
- A bachelor/master degree in Civil engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent.
- Ambition to contribute to continuous improvement of the engineering process and tools
- 3+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering
- Knowledge of Applied Mechanics and materials
- In depth experience with FE programs, preferably ANSYS
- Knowledge of analytical calculation/design methodologies
