Functieomschrijving

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership and drive the development of new technologies and products, specifically within the realm of IPL (intense pulse light) technologies. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative problem-solver with a strong background in systems thinking and product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with technical teams in the development of IPL technologies/products/systems, from concept through to implementation.
  • Work alongside experts from various engineering fields (e.g., mechanical, electrical, software) to offer integrated solutions.
  • Support product development projects by maintaining adherence to established development logic and methodologies, assisting in decision-making processes.
  • Maintain traceability throughout the V-model development process, translating high-level requirements to lower-level requirements and designs, and ensuring these are verified.
  • Support continuous improvement activities of the way of working in the Systems Engineering group (e.g., adoption of Model-Based Systems Engineering, SAFE Agile).

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering, (applied) Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a similar field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a lead engineering role involving multiple domains.
  • Experience in medical consumer product development, with familiarity with regulatory design controls such as FDA, ISO 13485, and EUMDR.
  • Strong capabilities in data and statistical analysis, proven by a certification in Design for Six Sigma (DFSS).
  • Sound knowledge of and experience with modeling/simulation methods and tools (preferably CREO, Ansys, Matlab, Cameo).
  • Strong experience with requirements management tools (preferably DOORS).
  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering, (applied) Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel (10-20% of your time) to internal development partners and external suppliers.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden
Primary employment conditions:
  • A good salary as per market standards.
  • 13th month salary
  • 8.33% holiday pay calculated over 12 monthly salaries.
Secondary employment conditions:
  • Pension Plus scheme (build-up from day 1)
  • Net €750 to set up your home workplace
  • 13th month (paid periodically on a pro-rata basis) or the possibility of a bonus (4 to 8% per quarter - average of 1 month's salary per year)
