What does your day look like as a commercial waste driver/loader?
- Start the day with a cup of coffee and a route discussion with your colleague and planner
- Inspect the truck quickly and head to the first stop
- Empty waste containers into the compactor truck during your route
- Alternate between driving and loading duties with your colleague
- Deliver the collected waste to a depot or processing facility at scheduled times
- Check at the end of your route if colleagues need any help
- Return to the depot in Amsterdam and finish your workdayYour workday usually starts between 6:30 and 7:00 AM, and depending on the route, you return between 3:00 and 5:00 PM. Work is Monday through Friday, giving you weekends off.
- Earn a gross hourly wage of €17.30 to €19.46 according to scale D of the Collective Labor Agreement for Professional Goods Transport.
- Start with a temporary contract, with the chance to move to permanent employment based on performance.
- Receive allowances, reimbursements, and travel compensation in line with the collective labor agreement.
- Begin building your pension from day one, securing your future.
- Enjoy 8.33% holiday pay and accrual of leave hours.
