An exciting opportunity is open for a results-driven Project Manager, Sustainable Logistics to help shape the future of environmentally responsible operations. Our client is committed to reducing its carbon footprint across packaging and logistics, and this role plays a critical part in delivering on ambitious 2030 sustainability targets.

This position offers the chance to lead impactful projects that reduce emissions in last-mile delivery and packaging. It calls for someone with strong project management capabilities, cross-functional collaboration skills, and a passion for sustainable innovation.

This is a part-time (24 hr/wk) project in Utrecht that will start as soon as possible and will last until the end of 2025, with a possibility of extension. If you are interested in learning more, then please apply!

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Initiate and lead sustainability projects aligned with the long-term Logistics ESG strategy;
  • Define project scopes, set milestones, and assign responsibilities to ensure delivery of key results;
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Retail, Product & Tech, ESG, and Logistics Operations;
  • Partner with external stakeholders such as packaging suppliers and logistics service providers to drive shared outcomes;
  • Champion initiatives to reduce packaging use (e.g. "No Pack") and improve the environmental impact of necessary packaging;
  • Coordinate efforts to enhance data collection on supplier-specific CO2 emissions;
  • Monitor project progress, manage interdependencies, and provide clear updates to leadership;
  • Align sustainability priorities across operational improvements and IT-driven innovations;
  • Prepare materials for decision-making at management team level and support strategic planning discussions;
  • Inspire cross-functional teams with a clear vision while working collaboratively to implement solutions.

A great assignment of 24 hours in Utrecht through the end of 2026, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement. The salary will be between €7000 and €8000 per month, based off of your skills and experience. Functie eisen

In order to succeed in this role, we ask that you have:

* Proven experience in project management, ideally within logistics, supply chain, or sustainability domains;
* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams and functions;
* Familiarity with ESG concepts and frameworks, such as the GHG Protocol or carbon accounting;
* Understanding of logistics operations and packaging processes is a strong advantage;
* Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and outcomes;
* Experience driving change in complex, multi-stakeholder environments;
* Availability to start mid-August 2025 and commit through December 2025, with potential extension.
